Details and Pricing

- All portraits are done on Strathmore cold press 140 lb. Watercolor paper. This paper is very versatile and rugged. It is acid free as are all of the art supplies and is sealed with a Prismacolor Matte UV protectant to ensure that the artwork will survive hundreds of years without fading or yellowing. This paper is very rigid and measures about .5 mm thick.

- Portraits are available any size or shape larger than 17" x 22" but pricing will generally be calculated by the sq ft.

- A 17" x 22" portrait is roughly 2.5 sq ft so a portrait that is 24" x 30" or 5 sq ft will cost double.

- Portrait subjects are not limited to people. I can also illustrate animals, homes, office buildings, cars, etc. to the same level of detail as the other images seen on in my gallery.

Note - The only factor that limits the level of detail I can produce is the quality of the photograph that I am able to work from. I prefer to take the images with my high end photography gear but I also understand that this is not always an option. I am able to work from a photo that the client provides but I have to stress that I need a very sharp well lit photo, preferably taken using natural or studio light, not a camera top flash aimed at the subject's face.  In most cases I will correct minor facial blemishes but I try to stay very accurate when drawing from a photo. For example many people want to look 15 lbs thinner in their portrait or some people want a frown to be a smile. I cannot accommodate these requests since I try to make an exact duplicate of the image, some exceptions include removing object from the background or blurring it out.
